CHRONIC IMPALEMENT-Demo 2009

This cd was given to me few months ago by Jun a friend from Panabo when he came to visit here in our city so here it goes, Chronic Impalement another Brutal Death metal band from Davao City. This demo contains 4 tracks of Slamming,Guttural Brutality straight to your face..=) Their music is likely similar to Devourment,Cephalotripsy, etc. The 4 tracks sounds good, the recording is also good, the gutturals of Homer is also good. So labels, zines keep your eyes to these guys!

INGURGITATED REPUGNANCE-Full of the Consumed Rot

This track is slamming guttural russian death metal. It start with an intro with a blast drum beats and the riffs becomes slamming groove till the end of the song. This track is only 1:48 duration. It's very short and I want to hear more tracks from it.

Answer by Ralf

1.Hello Ralf! Hows it goin? How's abrasive?

Hi! I am fine. The same goes with ABRASIVE. We just finished the recording of a new 3 song promo.

2.Anything you would like to tell me a brief bio of how your band started?

We started in 1999 as a threepiece (Alex / bass + screams, Alex / drums and myself / vocals + guitar). Our first release was the MCD “Victim” which was totally Old School Death Metal. In 2002 we released our second MCD “Desire”. That one was more brutal and more influenced by brutal US style Death Metal. In 2004 we released our first full length CD “Devotion” an NICE TO EAT YOU Rec. That was in the same style, but more brutal. Our second CD “Awakening Of Lust” was released one and ahalf year ago and is so far our best and most sucessful album.

3.How did you come up with your name?Did you have some previous names?

Alex our bass player just looked in a dictionary. We liked the name. We didn’t have any other names.

4.How's the scene their in Germany? Are Nazi's also in the pit of abrasive?hehehe

The scene is OK. Nothing special. We have some good bands here, but most of them are not in our area. I don’t think that Nazis are into our music. Cause we hate Nazis and make a statement against fascism where ever we can. But in general there are a few fascist people here in the scene.

5.Can you name abrasive influences?

I think there are a lot of influences. A lot of old school stuff like PUNGENT STENCH, PESTILENCE, GRAVE, old CARCASS, ... and a lot of US brutal death metal bands like PYAEMIA, FLESHGRIND, SEVERE TORTURE, SUFFOCATION, ... A lot more to mention. But we try to put all those influences together in our sound and try to create the most intense and in your face music.

6.Aside from Brutal Sh*ts do you still diggin up some genre?like trash,black,hardcore,jazz,etc..?hehehe

Of course, I listen to a lot of Thrash metal. I really love KREATOR! Also I am listening to some traditional heavy metal stuff.

7. Do you have future plans?

We have a lot of plans. We try to put the new promo CD out very soon and play as many shows as we can. We also would like to do a small tour. Also we will right more new songs for the next CD. That one will be awesome, believe me.

8. What's abrasive doing during your free time when your not playing some shows?

Besides doing our jobs, that really steals a lot of time, we try to enjoy our lifes.

9. In your Awakening of Lust cd, Is this the much tough or we say hardest material that you did?

Yes, I think so. But I think the songs on “Devotion” are one the same level when we talk about brutality. But the songs on “Awakening ...” are much better.

10.Did you have find some problems in making this album?

We always could do something better or different. But we are satisfied with the result.

11. In your own words, How Abrasive will be different from other death metal bands?

I think we have that old school feeling in our music. The songs are catchy on the one hand and have a lot of variety one the other. Our music is raw, intense and in-your-face. We have constantly two different vocalists.

12.Did you have any rival bands or any hated bands?hehe

No, I don’t think so.

13.Last question bro...Any lust tips??hehehehe

Enjoy SEX! That is my lust tip. Just enjoy it. Enjoy your girl, look at her, smell her and fall in an ecstasy. Thanks a lot for the interview. Keep it brutal! Destroy fascism!

Thanks for answering my interview bro! gudluck to abrasive!=) cheers!

ABRASIVE-Awakening of Lust

This is the 4th album of the Brutal death metal band from Germany. This cd "Awakening of Lust" would be the most sick and totally brutal materials that these guys made. The 1st track is like a intro of what would be the lyrical theme of the cd. The second track starts with a blasts beats, massive guitar riffs and heavy vocals then suddenly gutturals in the middle of the song which suprise me when ralf already doing some gutturals now than his previous vocals when I got their 2nd album "Desire" way back few years ago. Their music combines a little old school and new school death metal. This cd contains 9 tracks of Brutal music,Lust, orgasm, breakdowns. You'll be definitely be Horny when you grab this cd..hehe.. Sick!=)

Interview with INFINITE DEFILEMENT

Answer by: Jacob

1. Whats up Jacob?hows it goin?Happy new year bro!HOws your holiday man?Sorry if i send my interview late.hehehe..
No probs bro i was on vacation anyway. Happy new year to you also.

2. Can you state a little history of Infinite Defilement?
I started ID as a one man project in late 2007. At first it was just a muck around idea but after alot of good feedback from fans I decided to make it a serious project. I self released my first demo titled 'Perpetual Desecration of Being' in early 2008 and then collaborated in a 3 way split with 2 other one man bands, Egemony (Italy) & Flesh Impaled (Northen Ireland) that was released in October 2008 by Sevared Records and my promo cd was released in the same month also by Sevared Records. My LP will be released by Texan label DFP late this month or early Feb. I am now planning for future releases with a real drummer.

3. How did you came up with your name? What inspires or Who inspires to make this band?
The name just came to me very easily. I like the name because it doesnt just restrict me to the gore theme. The name could also fit other styles of death metal.

4. Why didnt you find more members bro?Why you choose to be One man band?
I didnt know anyone who could play drums very well and I am very fussy with what I want with my music and I would probly drive other members insane, hehe.

5. Whats Infinite Defilement top influences bro?
My top influences would be Deeds of Flesh, Saprogenic, Viral load, Cephalotripsy etc. I have taken influence from almost every band I have listened to.

6. Rather than brutal death metal bands, do you have also other influences or diggin up to like black metal,trash,hardcore,etc..?or do you have some all-time favorites from old artists?
My first metal albums would have been Metallica 'Ride The Lightning' & Machine Head 'Burn My Eys'. I also like Disturbed very much. Other bands I like that are not metal are, Xavier Rudd (Aus), Ben Harper & Bob Marley.

7. Are you also playing some shows bro?like deathfest?metalfest?
Na, shows are not possible for me. My job is full time and I am currenlty renovating my new house. Maybe one day when I get a full lineup I will do some shows. Respect to one man bands who play live!

8. In your freetime bro what are you doing?do you have any other side projects?
No other side projects bro. My free time is playing music, renovating/building, drinking piss & spending time with my girlfriend of nearly 8 years.

9. In your upcoming full-lenght bro, what will be our gonna watch for?
My full length has much more diverse songs and some sick samples and even has a few solos. Also it will have a bonous track with real drums and a track with some guest vocals from other sick bands.

10.Any last words bro??
Cheers for this review bro and thanks to everyone who has ever stuck by my band. Be sure to check my LP because it will be fucking sick!!

Thanks for the Answering my interview bro..
All the best to Infinite Defilement this year!!Cheers
